FAQ's
Q. I already have a domain name. Can I use that?
A. Yes but the name servers must be pointed at our servers.
Q. Will I be charged an annual hosting fee?
A. No that is included as part of the monthly fee.
Q. Who owns the domain name WSME provide?
A. The domain name will be registered on our system but with you as the owner. In the event that you wish to transfer the domain to a different registrar there will be an admin fee of £25.
Q. Is there a minimum term I have to have the web site?
A. 12 months.
Q. Who owns the web site?
A. In essence you are renting the web site from WSME. All the content you provide (i.e. images and text) belong to you. The template and coding of the site belong to WSME. See terms and conditions section 6.
Q. Can I supply you images to use that I have found on search engines?
A. We don't advise this method as the images may be copyright protected. If you are supplying images you must have written permission to use the images if they are not yours. If you have purchased images from a reputable reseller you will need to provide a copy of the licence. Any infringement will be your responsibility. See terms and conditions section 5.
Q. Where do WSME source your images?
A. WSME currently uses istock or fotolia for stock images. Any image WSME supply for your sight we be licensed by us. See terms and conditions section 6.
Q. How do I pay?
A. The set up charge is payable via Pay Pal, we will email you an invoice with a link to our payment page. The monthly charge is payable via monthly standing order.
Q. How long will it take to get my web site up and running?
A. Our aim is to have it live within 14 days of receiving the set up charge. But it usually depends on how fast you send us the text and images you want to use. It can be as quick as 3 days.
Q. I like the templates but none match my company colours. Can they be changed?
A. The templates give us a base to start from. The logo and colours will be changed to suit your corporate branding. If you don't have a logo or branding we have a design department that can help.
Q. Are your sites web standard compliant?
A. Yes we test each page against the W3C validator to ensure our xhtml and CSS passes their tests. You can test by clicking one of the W3C logos at the bottom of this page.
